As far as Grand Lake goes for food, this is good for being super close to the water for decent burgers under $5, fries, hot dogs, and ice cream, and really friendly service. Kind of an old friend you expect to see when you come to the lake.

The burgers and fries are great and the price was several dollars cheaper than most other places. The outside tables were terrific with a close view of Grand Lake. The service was personable and very quick. The "Coco Gone Loco" homemade ice cream was out of this world good! This place stands out as a great memory in our Colorado vacation!

No summer in Grand Lake is complete without a "Snack Bar Session." Even better -- daily snack bar sessions. We went here for lunch during GLYC sailing school back in the late 80s/early 90s, and haven't missed a summer snack bar session since then. Now we take our kids there. Fast and friendly service, good food, and a great location right on the lake. Be sure to try: - Chaparral burger (bacon cheeseburger) with everything on it - Onion rings - Turkey melt (add tomatoes and mustard) - Chicken fingers - Fries - Shakes and blizzards Tips: 1.) The service is GREAT but they never give you enough napkins or ketchup. Ask for extras of both. 2.) When placing your order, they will ask for your name so they can call your name -- over their loudspeakers -- when your food is ready to pick up. When asked for your name, get creative, knowing other patrons will hear that name called out over the loudspeaker. My favorites: - Peyton - Mr. Anschutz - Governor - Quinton/Quintin

Three bucks and change will score you a deep set scoop of super premium cookies and cream, overflowing with the Oreos, slow melting and flecked with Tahitian vanilla bean. And while the default cone is that weird wafer style (why no sugar cone?), the staff packs it full of ice cream down through the base. No hollow cone bites. Is this heaven? Better, it's Grand Lake. She crushed her chocolate shake, and if you're in the mood for something savory before/after dessert, this waterfront shack serves carnival staples (think fried and griddles things). A few tables sidle the hut, but if you're not walking the lakeside with cone in hand, you're doing it wrong.

I have been eating here since I started sailing school many years ago!! Burgers are great, french fries are delicious, and the cheese fries with BBQ sauce are where it's at. I stopped by Wednesday and was devastated to find their one of their flagship ice cream flavors, Grasshopper (mint ice cream & Oreo), was not available...it was not even on the upcoming flavor list. I settled for the mango sorbet, which was good, and comically expressed my frustration of driving all the way from Texas for the Grasshopper ice cream!! I returned Saturday, as they were closing (they might have actually been closed), and they had just made Grasshopper ice cream and sold me a scoop!! It was amazing!! Thanks Mary for making the Grasshopper ice cream happen!!

Amazing Place!! I always stop here whenever I'm in Grand Lake. It is a picturesque location, to just relax or grab something quick to eat. The food is fresh, and hot with fast and great service! Plus at a great price! Did I mention their HOMEADE ice cream, best ice cream I've ever had!! :)

Friend recommended it, and so we went to get ice cream. It was delicious, and right along the lake, so we got some great views. I loved it!

My FAVORITE lunch place in the entirety of Granby, WP, Grand Lake, and surrounding areas! The food is very inexpensive, the Burgers are absolutely mouthwatering, and the additional fries (okay, better w/ cheese), shakes (what I imagine jesus embodied in a frozen beverage to taste like [no offense to religion]) and the soft serve ice cream (somewhat mediocre, not all things are great)

LOCAL REVIEW! When this place opens up for the season, we are so excited! Family owned and operated, this place is a Grand Lake gem. Sure it is hard to mess up ice cream, but their onion rings are to die for.. the fried zucchni delectable and we also love the chicken and burgers. Definitely eat here if given the chance! Outside seating, RIGHT ON GRAND LAKE, accepts credit cards, super friendly staff... and the view... seriously.. you cannot go wrong with the view

5 stars for being the best place for a quick bite. Nothing beats putting your boat on a slip, grabbing some fries and enjoying the sun! The dipped cones are the best in town. Definitely worth stopping for. The kids they have working here are polite and cordial
